Born and raised in New York City Ivon attended the Manhattan School of music and received his Bachelors of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston Massachusettes. He moved to Miami in late 1999 and has lived here since. He studied photography at Miami Dade College under Johnny Louis and began doing work for local newspapers and Magazines including The Miami New Times and 944. As a child Ivon was exposed to his fathers love for classic cinema from such directors as Elia Kazan, Alfred Hitchcock Sidney Lumet, Stanley Kubrick and Francis Ford Coppola and Ivon sites that his influences and inspiration in Photography come almost exclusively from Movies and films which impacted him as a child: a Streetcar named desire, East of Eden, The Godfather, Serpico, The French connection to name a few.
Ivon has explored a wide range of mediums in photography and is very at home shooting portraits, Concert photography, Events, and model portfolios.
In addition to being a successful freelance fashion photographer Ivon Currently works with Hermosa Marketing as their exclusive photographer for ad campaigns and brochures for their Clients in the Medical field.
